Here is lots of advance notice for anyone interested

in being involved in the next Cabaret.

I am looking for acts, sketches, musical items, etc.

I will be auditioning on Sunday 4th of November.

Monday 5th & Tuesday 6th of November will be full runs.

To prepare for this there will also be several sketch writing workshops the first of which will be on Wednesday 10th June starting at 7:30 PM at Peter Phillips' Villa. Map available on request. Further scriptwriting workshops will begin again in September.

I will also be looking for lighting, sound and FOH people.

The First Annual Doha Players Short Film Festival.

Have you always wanted to make a short film?

Do you have a short film you have been waiting to show the world?

Do you have a great story or idea, but you need a crew or camera?

The First Annual Doha Players Short Film Festival is a fun event designed to help you showcase your storytelling abilities through visual means.

Please use the web site and let us have your thoughts and ideas on what you like, and what we should add to the site to make it more useful. As this is the first event we are all learning together.

CD Helps Doha Players Rebuild

The album - 'Dolphin Dance', is has contributions from both local musicians and guests from UK / USA - making a diverse collection of original compositions and standard modern jazz tunes.

Soloists from New York's Julliard School of Music and local contributions from Mark Seay, Fraser Dodd, John Petrie and Matthew Kay complete the CD

Chris started his professional musical career at Leeds College of Music where his compositions won him the 1998 Yorkshire Television prize for Jazz arranging. Collaborations with the likes of Johnny Dankworth opened the door to critical acclaim on the UK jazz scene.

In 2001 Chris moved to Doha and since that time he has been the prime mover in creating a small but vibrant jazz scene in Qatar's capital. His band "The Doha Jazz Quartet" can be seen at fortnightly Jazz nights at the Ritz Carlton. (May23rd, June6th, June 20th) and Movepick Hotel on Friday June 1st.

ANNIE Tickets on Sale Now

Annie debuted 30 years ago on Broadway, where it was an instant hit, winning seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The original Broadway run lasted five years and 2,377 performances. In 1978 Annie made her way to London’s West End, where British audiences were instantly charmed by Annie’s feisty personality and trademark red curly hair.

Annie tickets have now been given to the International Centre for Music. Tickets were also given to the SAQR (Music Master) office this morning and they will send them over to their shop at Landmark Mall. I hope they will be there this afternoon or tomorrow. Ticket price is Qrs70 for adults and Qrs30 for children/students.
